The ingredients needed to cook Mango 🥭 Phirni:

  1. Use 2 tbsps of Gobindo Bhog/Basamati/Kali Jeera Rice.
  2. Take 1 Litre of Milk (Full Cream).
  3. Take 1/4 Cup of Sugar.
  4. Use 1/4 Cup of Freshly Ground Cardamom Powder.
  5. Take 2 tbsps of Saffron Milk.
  6. Get 1/2 Cup of Mango Pulp (preferably, absolutely ripe & sweet mangoes).
  7. Get A few of Dry Fruits (Chopped) & Fresh Mint Leaves (For Garnishing).
  8. Use 2-3 Cups of Water (to wash & soak the rice).

Steps to make Mango 🥭 Phirni:

  1. Wash clean & soak the rice in water for at least 30-45 mins & then, blend it to a coarse paste & keep aside..
  2. In a large saucepan- boil the milk, keep on stirring occasionally & simmer for 10 mins. Keep the gas flame on low until the milk thickens a bit, add into it the cardamom powder..
  3. Add in the prepared coarse rice paste and keep on stirring continuously for the next 5/6 mins. Else, lumps might form..
  4. Keep the flame on low & keep stirring for another 5 mins until the rice is well cooked..
  5. Now, add in- the sugar & the saffron milk & keep stirring the mixture, until it finely thickens & forms a creamy texture..
  6. At this point- put off the flame & pour into it, the previously prepared mango pulp and mix it nicely until well incorporated in the entire thick mixture..
  7. Finally, allow it to cool down completely and garnish with the dry fruits & fresh mint leaves & refrigerate the same for at least 1-2 hrs before serving it, absolutely chilled..
