The ingredients needed to cook Apple Crumble:

  1. Provide 100 grams of granulated sugar.
  2. Take 150 grams of plain flour.
  3. Provide 75 grams of unsalted butter (soft).
  4. Get 4 of Bramley Cooking Apples.

Steps to make Apple Crumble:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°F or Gas Mark 4.
  2. Peel, core and slice the apples to 1-2cm thick (chunks if you desire).
  3. Place the apples in a saucepan with 50g sugar and 2tsp of water cook until apples go mushy then place into an ovenproof dish.
  4. Put the remaining sugar, flour and butter into a mixing bowl using your hands mix until you get large crumbs sprinkle evenly onto the apples and place into the oven for 30mins.

Place the fruit in a large bowl and sprinkle over the sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir well being careful not to break up the fruit. Spoon the fruit mixture into the bottom, then sprinkle the crumble mixture on top. I'll take a thick, buttery cinnamon pecan crumble over a flaky crust any day. Below are answers to all your baking.
