Remember when the only men and women who cared about the environment were tree huggers along with hippies? That's a thing of the past now, with everyone being aware of the problems besetting the planet as well as the shared burden we have for turning things around. The experts are agreed that we cannot transform things for the better without everyone's active involvement. These types of changes need to start occurring, and each individual family needs to become more environmentally friendly. The kitchen is a good place to start saving energy by going much more green.
Changing light bulbs is definitely as good an area to start as any. Naturally you shouldn't confine this to just the kitchen area. You really need to upgrade your incandescent lights with energy-saver, compact fluorescent light bulbs. They cost a little bit more in the beginning, but they last ten times longer, and use less electricity. Using these longer-lasting lightbulbs has the particular benefit that many fewer lightbulbs make it into landfills. You also have to obtain the routine of turning off the lights when there is nobody in a room. The family spends a lot of time in the kitchen area, and how frequently does the kitchen light go on in the morning and is left on all day long. Obviously this also happens in other rooms, not just the kitchen. Do an exercise if you like; have a look at the amount of electricity you can save by turning the lights off as soon as you don't need them.
As you can see, there are plenty of little elements that you can do to save energy, and save money, in the kitchen alone. Green living is something we can all do, without difficulty. Typically, all it takes is a little common sense.
We hope you got insight from reading it, now let's go back to french toast recipe. You can cook french toast using 9 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to prepare French Toast:
- Take 4 of eggs.
- Use 1 cup of milk.
- Use 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
- Prepare 6 tablespoons of flour.
- Provide 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Take 1/2 stick of butter.
- Get Loaf of Texas toast.
- Get 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- Use of Powdered sugar (optional).
Steps to make French Toast:
- Heat up griddle to 350..
- In a shallow dish place your 4 eggs and beat with electric mixer.
- Next add milk, vanilla, flour and salt and mix with electric mixer.
- Next take the 1/2 stick butter and run it over entire griddle. Then take your bread and dip it in the egg mixture making sure you dip both sides. (You’ll want to make sure you have your bread out and ready to go because you don’t want the butter to get too hot and burn on the griddle).
- Flip Bread and brown on both sides. Doesn’t take long. Maybe 3 minutes each side. Repeat with remaining bread. I can usually get 12 pieces of bread out of the egg mixture..
- Serve with warm syrup. This is my favorite syrup because I can heat right in the bottle. You can sprinkle with powered sugar if you’d like. I don’t on mine because it’s sweet enough without it. ENJOY!!.
French toast is very easy: Soak thick slices of bread in an egg and milk batter, then fry them to crisp up the outside and cook the egg custard center. It cooks fast and is a great way to use up stale bread. Spice it how you like it. Cardamom and cinnamon are my go-to choices, but other warming spices like ginger or nutmeg would be equally delicious. For a tropical twist that everyone will go (coco)nuts for, soak bread in unsweetened coconut milk and coat with shredded coconut before toasting in the frying pan.
