The ingredients needed to make Easy Unniyappam:

  1. Take of bananas mashed.
  2. You need of Rice flour.
  3. Take of All purpose flour.
  4. You need of jaggery syrup.
  5. Use of salt.
  6. Provide of coconut shredded.
  7. Provide of cardamom powder.
  8. You need of water.
  9. Get of baking soda.
  10. Use of Ghee/Clarified butter.

Steps to make Easy Unniyappam:

  1. Heat the jaggery in some water till it forms a syrup.Keep the syrup aside to cool..
  2. Now mix rest of the ingredients except ghee to form a medium thick batter..
  3. Heat ghee in a pan..
  4. Spoon the batter using a teaspoon and drop in hot ghee/oil.(should be medium sized round shape).
  5. Toss in the ghee until all sides turn lightly brown in color..
  6. Make sure oil is on medium high flame and not too high!.
  7. You can fry upto 4 unniypapams in a medium sized pan, at a time..

Cut the banana into small pieces and grind it well with jaggery paste Put rice powder to it and mix well. Make the paste (dosa maavu paakam) if it is so loose add maida. When the bottom get a golden dark brown, turn the unniyappam with a spoon and cook the other side too. Strain the jaggery and let it cool completely. Fry the black sesame seeds and coconut bits in ghee till it turns golden brown.
